Obi-Wan Kenobi

The powerful old Jedi himself, dispatching some Stormtroopers on Thyferra

Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi was a Jedi Knight and was also a member of the Jedi council during the clone wars. He won a duel against his once-padawan and former friend Anakin Skywalker, now having turned to the dark side, on the planet Mustafar, severing his limbs and allowing him to fall too close to a nearby river of lava, where he burned alive and inhaled toxins from the river that permanently impaired his breathing, forcing him to remain entombed in an armored life support system as the Sith lord, Darth Vader.

Rebel service Edit

Obi-Wan performed a short but invaluable service to the Rebellion. He told Luke Skywalker of the heroics of his father (Anakin) during the clone wars, inspiring him to seek to learn the ways of the Jedi which had been expunged from the galaxy so long ago (unbeknownst to him, largely at his own father's hands). He also participated in rescuing Princess Leia from the Empire's new battle station, the Death Star. He did not survive this escapade, however, as he dueled and lost to Vader in order to provide a distraction so that his friends and allies may escape.
